This is such a great idea! What a great way to add character to any room :) I’ll have to be on the look out for some more old suitcases. Check out Red Hen Home for instructions and other neat DIY projects.

Door Knob and Key Lock Coat Rack
This is a interesting idea to put old door knobs and locks to good use. You an probably find some really cool old ones for cheap at an antique shop. And just mount them to a piece of stained wood and you have yourself a coat rack.
And the best part is it can also double as a key holder!

I will definitely be doing this sometime in the near future to hang all my keys on. This also make for a nice piece of wall decor :)

Paint Swatch Wall Decor
In the link below they used the paint swatches to make cards but you can also use it as wall decor. And the best thing about this is paint swatches are free, so you can make as many of these as you want! So all you need to do is pick the colors you want at your local hardware store and cut and paste whatever design you want onto some sort of backing (in this picture they used white card stock).
